Father God, I want so badly for my marriage to be healed and redeemed. I want more than anything for my marriage to be a testimony of Your loving kindness and mercy. Father, I ask that You will remove doubt and fear from my heart and mind. Help me to remain focused on You.
Father, You know how much it hurts for us to stay stuck in this psycho-cycle of love and hate. You see that my soul is weary. You see that my heart is breaking within me each time my husband pushes me away and speaks harshly to me.
Lord, help me to control myself and my tongue in these moments. Help me to remember Lord, that a gentle answer turns away wrath, but harsh words stir up anger, (Proverbs 15:1). Help me Lord not to react to my husband anger and hostility with more anger and hostility. Help me to not repay evil for evil, Father, (1 Peter 3:9). Keep me safe under the wings of Your grace and mercy Father. Keep me steadfast in Your love. Teach me Your ways so that I may abide in You always.
